The Regional Directorate of Health (DRS) said that 12 new recoveries have been reported in the prefecture of Marrakesh, 5 in the province of Rehamna and 4 in that of Chichaoua, which became free from any confirmed case.

The cured cases are distributed between the prefecture of Marrakesh (634) and the provinces of Rehamna (224), of Al-Haouz (37), of Chichaoua (23), of El Kelâa des Sraghna (04), of Essaouira (01) and of Safi (01), said the DRS, noting that the recovery rate is 75%.

The same source noted that 2 new cases of Covid-19 infection have been confirmed, bringing to 1,240 the total number of infections in the region until Friday at 10:00 am, including 266 patients under treatment.

These hospitalized cases are distributed between the prefecture of Marrakesh (246) and the provinces of Al Haouz (9), of Rehamna (7), of Essaouira (3) and of Safi (1).

The number of cases excluded after negative test results reached 7,291, while that of deaths stabilized at 50, it added.
