This agreement was signed on 8 January in Rabat at the headquarters of the ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates on the sidelines of the fifth session of the Morocco-Japan Joint Commission.
The adoption of this important agreement will strengthen the presence of the Japanese private sector in Morocco, currently represented by 72 companies, including the seven majors of the automotive industry, energy, chemicals, banking and logistics, said a statement by the Moroccan embassy in Tokyo.
The number of Japanese companies in Morocco has almost doubled in the last three years, attesting to Japan's growing interest in Morocco as a leading industrial hub in Africa, the source added.
