Morocco and Spain continue their cooperation in various fields, Benyaich said in a statement to the Spanish news agency "Europapress".
Despite the pandemic, she explained, "cooperation continues in different areas, in particular in the fight against illegal immigration, terrorism and drug trafficking".
"The excellent relations uniting the two countries are based on the deep bonds of friendship between the two Royal Houses," she said, emphasizing, in this regard, the permanent contact between HM King Mohammed VI and King Felipe VI.
Benyaich recalled that the Kingdom decided on 12 March, in consultation with the Spanish authorities, to suspend, until further notice, air flights and maritime passenger traffic from and to Spain, stressing that HM the King and the Spanish sovereign had consulted on this matter.
Furthermore, the ambassador indicated that Moroccans have shown exemplary solidarity in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as a spirit of sacrifice and great understanding in implementing the measures adopted by the Moroccan authorities under the impetus of HM the King.
