Covid-19 Fund: Second Operation to Support Households of Informal Sector Starts on May 14

Rabat - A second operation to support households belonging to the informal sector who have lost their income due to the state of health emergency, will start on Thursday, May 14, as part of the continuation of the momentum of national solidarity in this period of pandemic, announced the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform.

The provisional financial aid provided by the Covid-19 Fund, created upon the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, to support these households has, to date, been paid to 3.9 million households out of 4.3 million eligible ones, the ministry said in a statement, noting that this operation, which is currently taking place in rural and remote areas, will end this week and will mobilize nearly 4.2 billion dirhams.

The second support operation will be based on the already recorded declarations and will take into account the control carried out by the Administration, underlined the same source, noting that the procedure for aid withdrawal is identical to the first operation and is based mainly on SMS sent to the mobile phones of the heads of the households concerned.

In order to avoid the crowding of withdrawal points, during this confinement period, the messages will be sent over several days.
