Covid-19: 16 New Cases in Marrakech-Safi Region Over Past 24 Hours

Marrakech - Sixteen new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were reported in the region of Marrakech-Safi over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 1,206, the regional health office said Monday.

According to the same source, 348 covid-19 patients are treated in the region, including 299 in Marrakech, 25 in Rehamna, 15 in Al Haouz, 4 in Chichaoua, 3 in Essaouira, 1 in Kelaa Sraghna and 1 in Safi.

A total of 42 recoveries were registered over the given period, which rises the number of recovered Covid-19 patients in the refion to 808.

The number of excluded suspected cases following negative tests has reached 6,197, while the number of fatalities stands at 50.

A total of 218 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Morocco over the past 24 hours until Monday at 4 p.m., bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Kingdom to 6,281.
