In accordance with the high directives of HM King Mohammed VI, and on the basis of instructions from the ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, the embassy's services set up, as soon as the Kingdom's borders were closed, a crisis cell and made all means of communication available, such as e-mail addresses and telephone numbers, to Moroccans stranded in Turkey, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, in order to meet their needs and provide them with support, according to a statement by the embassy.
The same source underlined that several Moroccans who came to Turkey for tourist or professional reasons and were stranded in the country were accommodated in cities within the consular scope of the embassy, adding that medicines were provided to people suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes and blood pressure, in addition to covering the expenses of a surgical operation that a Moroccan national underwent, as well as material support for her family.
The embassy further stressed that it continues to provide the necessary support to the Moroccans stranded in Turkey, calling on them to exercise caution and observe the preventive measures taken by the Turkish authorities, and to refer to the official channels to be informed about the evolution of the epidemic situation and the information published on the embassy's accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
