During a videoconference with the director of the Entraide Nationale, the regional coordinators and members of the central vigilance committee, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the Entraide Nationale, El Moussali stressed that it is thanks to the concerted efforts of all stakeholders that the largest operation of accommodation for homeless people was carried out.
On the occasion of this meeting, meant for the evaluation of interventions by delegations of the Entraide Nationale throughout the Kingdom, within the framework of national efforts to fight the pandemic of the new coronavirus and curb its repercussions, El Moussali highlighted the need to invest in large-scale accommodation operations for the homeless, calling for national mobilization to limit and control homelessness in Morocco, said the ministry of solidarity, social development, equality and family in a press release.
In this regard, the Minister called for reflection on the post-corona scenarios, focusing more particularly on the issue of homeless people who have been accommodated in reception centers or reintegrated into their families, considering that it is necessary to study their situation and support them via rehabilitation programs to avoid any setback when the lockdown is lifted.
The minister also said that the social aspect of the Entraide nationale is no less important than other vital sectors such as health, security and food, adding that the body made honorable presence during this particular situation and its staff showed dedication, sacrifice and patriotism.
The minister noted that the Entraide nationale, which provides various social services to more than half a million people in vulnerable situations each year, covering several provinces and regions of the Kingdom, has a network of more than 4,000 establishments and social centers and nearly 3,000 partner associations.
