"To ensure accessibility to these masks, the ministry has called on wholesalers distributing pharmaceutical products for the daily supply of all pharmacies with them," said a statement from the ministry.

The ministry stressed that up to date 26.7 million masks were provided for 53 wholesalers, at regional platforms, for the distribution to pharmacies across the country.

In order to guarantee the availability of these masks and thanks to the mobilization of 17 certified industrial companies, the daily national production capacity of non-woven fabric masks has reached 6.8 millions and will increase to more than 8 millions in the coming days, said the press release.

These masks are on sale in packets of 10 at a unit price of 0.80 dirham, subsidized by the Covid-19 Pandemic Management Fund, said the same source.
