In a statement, the National Police (DGSN) said that the suspect was arrested in a car, red handed while violating of the state of health emergency, stating that this individual refused to comply and drove his vehicle in a dangerous way.

In an attempt to flee, he deliberately hit the motorcycle of a law enforcement officer and injured him, the same source said.

The investigations helped identify the suspect and arrest him in the "Annour" district in Casablanca, said the DGSN, adding that the search operations made it possible to seize the car used in the assault, bearing the marks of damage caused and recorded in a video posted on social networks.

The accused was placed in police custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, underlined the DGSN, noting that the investigations are under way in order to arrest the individual who was with him in the car.
