In a statement, the DGSN said that since the declaration of the state of health emergency by the public authorities, a total of 47,143 people have been arrested in all the Kingdom's cities, 25,480 of whom were brought before the competent public prosecutor's offices following the police custody procedure.
These arrests were carried out in Casablanca (6,566), Rabat (6,296), Kenitra (5,084), Oujda (4,308), Marrakech (4,197), Agadir (3,408), Salé (2,995), Meknes (2,404), Beni Mellal (1,836), Fez (1,492), Tetouan (1,576), El Jadida (1,266), Tangier (1,181), Settat (1,146), Ouarzazate (954), Laayoune (775), Errachidia (596), Safi (442), Taza (435) and Al Hoceima (186).
Security services will continue to reinforce control operations in all the Moroccan cities and coordinate their interventions with the various public authorities with a view to ensuring the strict implementation of the health emergency rules, the source pointed out.
