Presented by the minister of the Interior, this draft decree aims to extend the period of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory from Monday, April 20, 2020 at 6 p.m. until Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 6 p. m., said a statement read by government spokesman Saaid Amzazi at a press briefing after the Cabinet meeting.
Article 2 of decree-law No. 2.20.292 issued on 28 Rajab 1441 (23 March 2020) on the provisions relating to the state of health emergency and the procedures for its declaration, stipulates that the state of health emergency may be extended by decree, in case of necessity, he recalled, stating that this extension takes place due to compelling circumstances that require the continued application of measures taken since the declaration of the state of health emergency including those of quarantine.
Speaking at the opening of this meeting, El Otmani welcomed the support of all departments in this national project, citing in particular the ministries of Interior and Health and the general secretariat of government which have made a great effort for the development of the draft decree No. 2.20.330 extending the state of health emergency throughout the national territory, said Amzazi.
