In total, the Eastern region reported 10 cases of recovery and 7 deaths, according to data from the regional directorate relating to the toll of the the Covid-19 pandemic at the regional level.

Concerning the geographical distribution of cases, the Oujda-Angad prefecture reported 47 cases, against 37 in the province of Nador and 33 in the province of Berkane.

The provinces of Taourirt and Guercif recorded 8 cases each, against 6 cases for the province of Driouch and only one case in the province of Figuig, while no case has been reported so far in the province of Jerada.

A total of 245 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco until Friday at 10:00 am, bringing to 2,528 the total number of contamination cases.

The number of cases cured rose to 273 with 24 new recoveries, while the number of deaths reached 133, said the Ministry of Health on the portal "www.covidmaroc.ma".
