The management of the covid-19 health crisis by Morocco and the "courageous, pragmatic and unprecedented" measures taken on the initiative of HM the King "are considered by Moroccans to be an extension of one of the most emblematic pages of the recent history of Morocco: the revolution of the King and the people ", El Imparcial pointed out in an article entitled" Mohammed VI, guarantor of the stability of the country".
While the major world powers have minimized the impact of the health crisis triggered by the novel coronavirus, Morocco has taken this problem very seriously since the confirmation of the first case of the disease by adopting of a set of measures to curb the spread of covid-19, granting financial aid to affected citizens and approving an economic response plan, the Argentinian website underlined.
While stressing the leadership of the Sovereign on the international scene, 'El Imparcial' noted that HM the King "has always anticipated and developped effective plans" to all issues regarding the Moroccan State, including the regional conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, in which the kingdom continues to rally international support for the legitimacy of its cause.
HM the King's "highly commendable" decision to protect his people from the coronavirus at the expense of economic considerations has aroused unanimous patriotic enthusiasm among Moroccans, the source said, while shedding light on the various measures taken in this area by the Kingdom, including health emergency rules and the setting up of a special fund for the management of the coronavirus pandemic.
Morocco has also started manufacturing its own respirators to reduce its dependence on foreign markets, while the textile industry has produced protective masks to meet the needs of the national market at knockdown prices, El Imparcial pointed out.
