As part of security operations carried out to ensure the implementation of health emergency rules, since it was imposed by public authorities, a total of 30,898 people were arrested throughout Morocco, 16,791 of whom were brought before the competent public prosecutor's office, the source added.
These arrests were carried out in Casablanca (4,625), Rabat (4,052), Kenitra (3,608), Oujda (3,029), Marrakech (2,758), Agadir (2,469), Salé (2,165), Beni Mellal (1,115), Meknes (1,084), Fez (1,040), El Jadida (730), Tetouan (704), Tangier (673), Ouarzazate (641), Settat (622), Errachidia (474), Laayoune (447), Safi (286), Taza (243) and Al Hoceima (133).
Security services will increase control operations in all the Moroccan cities and coordinate their interventions with the various public authorities with a view to ensuring the strict implementation of the health emergency rules, the source pointed out.
