The suspect was arrested at his family's home, located in Sidi El Bernoussi, under a red notice issued by interpol in 2017 at the request of the Italian judicial authorities, said the National Police (DGSN) in press release, adding that the man is suspected of involvement in a case of premeditated homicide perpetrated in Italy in 2016.

The search carried out by the judicial police at the suspect's home led to the seizure of 60 grams of chira, the same source added, saying that an investigation is under way to determine the circumstances of drug possession.

The suspect was remanded in police custody for the investigation carried out by the judicial police under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to shed light on this case.
