Public prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, president of the Public Prosecution Mohamed Abdennabaoui, had called on judicial officials to strictly apply the legal provisions relating to the wearing of masks in the context of the state of health emergency.
In a circular, Abdennabaoui stressed the need to initiate, without hesitation, investigations and public actions in the event of violation of the legal provisions in this area.
Wearing face masks has been compulsory in Morocco since Tuesday for all people authorized to move outside their homes.
This measure is part of efforts aimed at stopping the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
