In a statement, the national police (DGSN) said that the 35-year-old suspect was apprehended at the checkpoint of Tikiwin, a suburb of Agadir, when he arrived in a freight car from a city in the north of the Kingdom, stating that the search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 200 kg of chira and 20 kg of kif, as well as 150 grams of cocaine, carefully concealed in boxes of vegetables.
According to the same source, the investigations conducted into this case led to the arrest of two other persons on board a rented car, who were about to receive part of the seized drug.
All the suspects have been placed in police custody to complete the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office to determine the ins and outs of this case and to identify the ramifications and links of this operation with international drug trafficking networks, the statement concluded.
