This contribution is part of the national solidarity campaign and mobilization to mitigate the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic and in accordance with the high instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, the agency said in a release.
This decision was taken following consultation with the Minister of Health and President of the agency's board of directors and received the unanimous support of the board's members, the release added.
This initiative is also part of measures and procedures undertaken by ANAM to support the efforts made by the public authorities to face this pandemic, in particular with regard to simplification and facilitation of access to information and the continuity of the services provided by the agency through the generalization of digital administration, it said.
Several public and private companies, national institutions and professions have announced their contributions into the Fund, which is intended to cover the costs of upgrading medical equipment, in terms of suitable infrastructure and additional means to be acquired, urgently, to treat in good conditions people who are infected with the virus.
It is also dedicated to supporting the national economy through several measures that will be proposed by the government.
