The man was wanted by the police for drug trafficking, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement, adding that searches led to the seizure of 3.8 Kg of heroin and two vehicles with fake license plates at his home, it added.

The suspect was placed on custody pending investigations led by the competent public prosecutor's office.

This operation is part of efforts made by national police to fight against drug trafficking.
