The thirty-seven new cases were confirmed at the laboratory of the Pasteur-Morocco Institute and the national Centre for influenza and respiratory viruses under the Rabat Institute of hygiene, said the ministry, adding that the cases excluded following a negative result of the laboratory are 1920.
In addition, the ministry announced that the number of cured persons stands at 13, while one more death was reported, bringing the total to 27.
The 516 cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (149), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (86), Fès-Meknès (88), Marrakech-Safi (94), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (37), the Eastern region (21), Souss-Massa (15), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (17), Daraa-Tafilalet (8), Guelmim-Oued Noun (1), according to the same source, noting that no cases have been reported in the regions of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The ministry urges citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities, and to show responsibility and patriotism.
