Police had spotted a video on social networks showing four girls mockingly contacting the monitoring system dedicated to the coronavirus to report false cases of contamination with covid-19, said the national police(DGSN) in a statement, specifying that this action required the opening of a thorough investigation that led to the arrest of two of the suspects.

According to the same source, investigations are continuing to apprehend the other persons appearing in the video.

The two suspects have been remanded into police custody for further investigation ordered by the competent public prosecutor's office in order to clarify all the circumstances of this case, noted the statement, adding that identification operations are under way to arrest anyone involved in the misuse of telephone numbers dedicated to the monitoring system for citizens seeking explanations or to report real cases of illness.
