FM: Morocco Welcomes EU's Confidence, Fully Appreciates its Gesture of Solidarity
Rabat - Morocco's minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, said that Morocco "welcomes the confidence" of the European Union through its immediate support of 150 million euros to the special Fund for the management of the Covid-19 pandemic, created on the initiative of HM King Mohammed VI.
This support was announced at a joint statement issued on Friday following a telephone conversation between the Moroccan Foreign minister and Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Oliver Varhelyi.
Bourita stressed that "Morocco welcomes the confidence of the European Union and fully appreciates this gesture of solidarity".
