"Within the framework of the establishment of the special Fund for the management of the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) following the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, May God assist him, and after consultations and permanent meetings, the CVE decided to grant a net monthly flat-rate compensation of MAD 2. 000 in addition to the benefits relating to compulsory health insurance and family allowances for the benefit of employees under integration contract and fishermen on temporary work stoppage declared to the CNSS for the month of February 2020, and working for companies in difficulty, affiliated to the CNSS, and this, during the period from 15 March to 30 June 2020", says a statement by the CVE.
The workers who will benefit from this indemnity must be the subject of a declaration on the honour of the companies employing them at the level of the CNSS portal, certifying the total or partial cessation of activity induced by the coronavirus pandemic, specifies the same source, noting, however, that any employee who has knowingly abandoned his or her job will not benefit from the indemnity in question.
An audit of all operations carried out by the CNSS as part of the implementation of this system will be carried out by the General Inspectorate of Finance, adds the CVE, stating that any infringement will be sanctioned.
The special Fund for the management of covid-19 was set up to cover the costs of upgrading the medical system and to support the Moroccan economy and its players in the face of the negative repercussions of the pandemic, the same source points out.
