Casablanca: Judicial Investigation Opened over Two Individuals Suspected of Copying and Selling Authorization To Leave Home, Police

Rabat - Police services at Sidi Bernoussi district in Casablanca opened, Saturday, a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, with a view to determining the criminal acts attributed to two individuals, a bookstore owner and his assistant, suspected of copying and selling forms of the exceptional authorization to leave the home, imposed as part of the state of health emergency.

The National Police (DGSN) said in a press release that a joint patrol of the national police and the local authority helped arrest the two suspects inside a bookstore in Sidi Moumen in Casablanca, red-handed while copying and selling 11 forms of the exceptional authorization issued by the local authorities to regulate movement and avoid the spread of the new coronavirus.

The two suspects were remanded in police custody for the preliminary investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to shed light on this case, concluded the DGSN.
