The event, which will run from April 9 to August 31, 2019, is the first impressionist exhibition to cross the Mediterranean. Using rooms each dealing with a specific color, the cultural event, organized at the initiative of the National Foundation for Museums with the scientific collaboration and exceptional borrowing of collections from the Musée d'Orsay (Orsay Museum) shows how impressionist paintings capture the essence of items and emphasize the play of natural light.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness was given details on the masterpieces by Sabine Cazenave, exhibition co-organizer and painting curator at the Musée d'Orsay and Paul Perrin, exhibition co-organizer and painting curator at the Musée d'Orsay before touring the halls housing the exhibition.

Afterwards, the catalog of the exhibition was handed to Her Royal Highness by Sabine Cazenave and Paul Perrin. A commemorative stamp of the exhibition was given to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa by director general of Barid-Al-Maghrib (Moroccan postal services) Amine Benjelloun Touimi.

On the same occasion, two catalogs on exhibitions currently taking place at the Mohammed VI Museum for Modern and Contemporary Art were also given to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa by the museum's director Abdelaziz El Idrissi, deputy curator Hind El Ayoubi and head of cultural mediation at the museum Houda Kessabi.

Her Royal Highness was then greeted by the attending artists and posed for a souvenir photo.

At her arrival at the Museum, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa reviewed a detachment of the auxiliary forces who paid the honors and was greeted mainly by tourism minister Mohamed Sajid, culture and communication minister Mohamed Laaraj, diplomatic advisor of the president of the French Republic Aurélien le Chevalier, MENA advisor to the president of the French Republic Marie Philippe and France's ambassador in Rabat Jean-François Girault.

The exhibition shows how the impressionists explored plein-air painting and developed new techniques specific to the style, believing that impressionism was a different way of seeing, an art of immediacy and movement, of candid poses and compositions, and of the play of light expressed in a bright and varied use of color.
