At the "Bad Al Makina" square, Her Royal Highness reviewed a detachment of the auxiliary forces that paid the honours and was greeted mainly by culture minister Mohamed Laaraj, wali of the Fez-Meknes region, governor of prefecture of Fez Said Zniber, president of the Fez-Meknes region's council Mhand Laenser and president of the council of the city of Fez Idriss Azami El Idrissi.
HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa was also greeted by chairman of the "Spirit of Fez" foundation Abderrafi Zouiten and members of the organizing committee of the 24th Fez Festival of World Sacred Music.
Afterwards, Her Royal Highness headed for the VIP stand where she watched the inaugural concert wherein poetry intertwined with music to describe the special relation existing between the City's architecture, handicraft, brotherhoods and trades.
Designed by artistic director Alain Weber and composer Ramzi Aburedwan, this creation brought together prestigious artists from Morocco and the Arab world who were able to highlight the traditional and contemporary aspect of such art craftsmanship.
At the end of this event, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa was greeted by the members of this artistic creation.
The festival, which runs until June 30, features performances from over twenty countries notably Goran Bregovic (Sarajevo), Jordi Savall, Soweto gospel choir (South Africa) and the Mtendeni Maulid ensemble (Zanzibar).
