Upon his arrival at the ceremony, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, chairman of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association (ATH), reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces that made the honors before being greeted by minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaïd, minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Handicraft, and Social Economy, Mohamed Sajid, minister of Youth and Sports, Rachid Talbi Alami, as well as by other personalities.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was also greeted by president of the Ladies European Tour Committee, Mark Lichtenhein, and European Tour CEO, Keith Pelly, before joining the grandstand, from where he attended the finale of the Hassan II Trophy competition.
Following the announcement of the winners, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid presented the Hassan II Trophy to Frenchman Alexander Levy, and the HRH Princess Lalla Meryem Cup to Swedish Jenny Haglund.
After posing for a photo souvenir with the winners, His Royal Highness also presented the prizes to the other golfers who managed to make it to the podium of these two prestigious tournaments.
Speaking on this occasion, Mark Lichtenhein expressed his deep and sincere gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for His High Patronage of this event and to HRH Prince Moulay Rachid for providing personal support for golf in Morocco.
It is a great honor to be able to attend this event, the foundations of which have been laid thanks to the visionary concept of HM the late king Hassan II, he said, adding that these tournaments are also a unique celebration of men's and women's golf.
For his part, Keith Pelly noted that these tournaments have evolved significantly over the years, noting that the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam course is one of the most beautiful in the world.
Afterwards, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid presented the 1st award of the Pro-Am competition of the HRH Princess Lalla Meryem Cup to the team led by English professional golfer Johnson Trish, as well as the 1st prize of the Pro-Am mixed competition of the Hassan II Trophy to the team led by Swedish golfer Jenny Haglund and Australian Andrew Dodt.
