Upon his arrival at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, which hosts this important cultural event, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted by HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, who presented to His Royal Highness the members of the Emirate's Executive Council.
Subsequently, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted by minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Handicrafts and Social Economy, Mohamed Sajid, ambassador of HM the King to the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed Ait Ouali, chairman of the National Foundation of Museums, Mehdi Qotbi, director general of the House of Craftsmen, Abdellah Adnani, and acting director general of the Moroccan Tourism Office, Rachid Hamzaoui.
Afterwards, His Royal Highness toured the various pavilions set up for this great event, which is an opportunity to highlight the different facets of the authentic Moroccan heritage: craftsmanship, architecture, antiques, music, gastronomy and traditional dress.
"Morocco in Abu Dhabi" features an exhibition of Moroccan handicrafts, a perfect illustration of the Kingdom's centuries-old heritage.
On this occasion, the National Foundation of Museums showcases for the first time outside Morocco unique pieces of art from the different museums of the Kingdom.
The public will also have the opportunity to discover an original artistic stand dedicated to young creators whose modern and creative works are inspired by the authentic Moroccan heritage.
This major cultural event, organized under the aegis of the ministry of Tourism, Air Transport, Handicrafts and Social Economy, is part of the distinguished and long-standing links between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates covering the political, economic, media, tourism and cultural fields.
