This visit took place on the sidelines of the friendship and working visit to Morocco of French President Emmanuel Macron, at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI.
Upon their arrival at the museum, Brigitte Macron and HRH Princesses Lalla Salma and Lalla Oum Kaltoum reviewed a detachment of the Auxiliary Forces who paid the honors, before being greeted by Minister of Culture and Communication, Mohamed Laaraj, and President of the National Museum Foundation, Mehdi Qotbi.
Ms Macron and their Royal Highnesses visited the “Face à Picasso” exhibition and followed the explanations of the event organized by the National Museum Foundation in collaboration with the National Picasso Museum -Paris.
The exhibition features more than a hundred works (paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, drawings and prints) from the collections of the National Picasso Museum -Paris.
Displayed in eleven sections each exploring a part of Picasso's genius, the exhibition is basically a chronological and thematic journey that condenses the best works of Picasso, between paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings , ceramics, prints and photographs.
With a chrono-thematic physiognomy, this exhibition revives all the creative domains of Pablo Picasso, his entourage and his life.
At the end of the visit, Ms Brigitte Macron signed the Golden Book of the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
