After cutting the symbolic ribbon, explanations were provided to HRH Princess Lalla Meryem on the projects carried out by the diplomatic Circle in social and cultural fields.
HRH Princess Lalla Meryem visited the various stands of the bazaar, where products, from the participating countries, are exhibited.
In a speech on this occasion, chairwoman of the Rabat Diplomatic Circle, spouse of Jordan’s ambassador in Rabat, Muna Al Rifai, thanked HM the King for granting his patronage to this annual charity event.
She also thanked HRH Princess Lalla Meryem for attending the ceremony and for backing this event, adding that Rabat’s international diplomacy bazar aims at supporting women, particularly in rural areas, as well as people with special needs.
Following the ceremony, HRH Princess Lalla Meryem posed for a souvenir photo.
Upon her arrival, HRH Princess Lalla Meryem reviewed a detachment of the Municipal Guard which made the honors, before being greeted by Minister of Solidarity, Women, Family and Social Development, acting government spokesperson, Bassima Hakkaoui, wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, governor of the Rabat prefecture, Abdelouafi Laftit, Muna Al Rifai and Director of the Mohammed V national theater Mohammed Benhsaïn.
The event is sponsored by the diplomatic Circle, a charity group comprising the spouses of accredited ambassadors to Morocco.
