The two-day event, which brought together more than 1400 experts, decision-makers and academicians from over 100 countries, tackled issues notably related to health security. It was also an opportunity to exchange experience and know-how concerning the latest innovations in this area.
The participants also highlighted the paramount importance of investment in the health sector and the need for ensuring a better health care at a lower cost.
HRH Princess Lalla Salma had arrived on Monday in Doha to participate in the opening ceremony of the third edition of the 2016 WISH.
Following the opening session, HRH Princess Lalla Salma visited the "Innovations" Exhibition, where Her Royal Highness, along with HH Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser, chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, and HRH Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, were given details on the different innovative projects selected to be exhibited on this occasion.
