During this visit, HRH Princess Lalla Salma was given details on the progress made in the center's construction.

This project saw the light thanks to funds raised on the occasion of the Gala evening held by the Lalla Salma Foundation in Marrakesh on oct.3, 2015.

This new facility will help with the decentralization of cancer health care in the Beni Mellal - Khenifra region and will house around 3,000 patients yearly.

The center's building and equipment are worth 85 million dirhams. Stretching over a surface area of 3,215 square meters, the center is located on the Marrakesh road and will be operational late 2017.

At her arrival at the construction site, Her Royal Highness was greeted mainly by Mohamed Derdouri, wali of the Beni Mellal - Khenifra region, governor of Beni Mellal, and Brahim Moujahid, president of the region's council.
