This ambitious program, which is intended to be generalized to all prisons in Morocco, aims to transform prisons into places of rehabilitation, learning and expertise, particularly through the promotion of cultural activities and sports, medical care of prisoners and education and training.
The project, which is worth around 9 million dirhams, will also promote the social and economic rehabilitation of inmates who will also benefit, once released, from support in post-prison facilities.
Benefiting more than 340 inmates, the new center provides training in wiring looms, versatile masonry, building electricity, painting, glazing, shoe repair, hairdressing, and computer and office skills.
