At his arrival at the Mohammed VI exhibition park of El Jadida, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted by president of the Horse Fair Association Moulay Abdellah Alaoui and reviewed a detachment of auxiliary forces who paid the honors.
His Royal Highness was afterwards greeted by agriculture minister Aziz Akhannouch, governor of El Jadida province Mouad Al Jamai, organizer of the El Jadida Horse Fair El Habib Marzak, as well as by members of the council of the Horse Fair Association.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid headed for the VIP stand to watch the competition of HM King Mohammed VI Showjumping Grand Prize.
Following the event, held by the Horse Fair Association, the Moroccan Royal Federation for Equestrian Sports and the Royal Guard, under the aegis of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports, His Royal Highness handed the Grand Prize to the winner, Portuguese Almeida Antonio Matos riding Nikel de Presle.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid also gave the prizes to four riders ranking successively, namely Peter Steiner Nadja from Switzerland riding Capuera II, Al Duhami Ramzy Hamad from Saudi Arabia riding Al Capone, Daigneux-Lange Fabienne from Belgium riding Venue d’Fees des Hazalles and Ouaddar Abdelkebir from Morocco rising Quickly de Kreisker.
The Morocco Royal Tour took place in three stages: Tétouan (Oct. 2-4), Rabat (Oct. 8-11) and El Jadida (Oct. 15-18).
The 8th edition of the El Jadida Horse Fair was held under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, under the theme "Horses: Arts and Jobs".
