Upon the arrival of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid to the Exhibitions Park, He was greeted by president of the Moroccan Royal Federation for Equestrian Sports (FRMSE) Moulay Abdellah Alaoui.
After His Royal Highness reviewed a detachment of the auxiliary forces who paid the honors, He was greeted by agriculture and fisheries minister Aziz Akhannouch, minister delegate for the Interior Charki Draiss, and Portuguese agriculture minister Assunçao Crista, guest of honor, as well as several ambassadors accredited in Rabat.
Afterwards, His Royal Highness cut the symbolic ribbon.
At the entry of the VIP hall, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted by HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, president of the Arabian Horse Organization (AHO).
His Royal Highness toured the different stands of the Fair after viewing its scale model.
The exhibitions fair, the first of its kind in Morocco, stretches over a surface area of 46 hectares and includes areas for traditional equestrian sports "Tbourida" (7 hectares), which will receives groups from all regions, in addition to a hall for exhibitions and conferences built over 1.9 hectares and a parking lot with a capacity of 2,000 cars.
The Fair comprises also villages set up as part of the event and dedicated mainly to craftsmen, to the Moroccan regions, to sponsors, to art and culture, to breeders and to institutions (royal armed forces, royal guard, police, royal gendarmerie, auxiliary forces and the FRMSE).
Held under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the Fair, themed "Horses: Arts and Jobs", is expected to draw around 300,000 visitors, and over 120 professional exhibitors from 38 countries.
The Fair, organized by the "Horse Exhibition Association", will feature around 810 horse breeds along with 450 riders.
