Upon His arrival at the Sports Palace of the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard, who made the honors, before being greeted notably by Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohand Laenser, and President of International Judo Federation (IJF), Marius Vizer.
On this occasion, IJF President delivered a welcome speech wherein he expressed his gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for Morocco's hosting of this tournament. He also commended the efforts of the Moroccan Royal Federation of Judo, the organizer of the event, which brought together the best judo players in the world.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan also attended the 3D show "Lights and Sounds" and a video projection under the theme "Morocco's history, heritage and civilization", as well as judo demonstrations.
After a brief pause, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan joined the official stand where he attended the + 100kg finals.
At the end of this game, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presented bronze medals to Dutch Roy Peyer and Japanese Ryu Shichinohe, the silver medal to Hungarian Barna Bor, and the gold medal to French Teddy Riner, before posing for souvenir photos with the winners.
World Judo Masters Mohammed VI brought together top 250 world judo players representing sixty countries.
This event, held Saturday and Sunday under the aegis of the International Judo Federation, is listed in the World Judo Tour and qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
