On this occasion, the board examined the year 2014's accounts and reports which will be submitted to the Foundation's ordinary general assembly.
The 2014 report was marked by the completion and opening of the Meknes Oncology Center, as well as the opening of three reference centers in Hay Mohammadi, Tangiers and Marrakech, in addition to the opening of the Marrakech Life House.
The year 2014 was also marked by a considerable increase in access to health care: 27,000 new treated cases and over 160,000 patients receiving medical care in the different public oncology centers.
The Foundation also gave the centers over 260 million dirhams worth of anti-cancer drugs, in partnership with the health ministry, the different university hospital centers and the Roche Laboratory.
Concerning research, the Foundation funded 9 projects spanning three years as of 2014, as well as the construction and the official establishment of the Institute of Research on Cancer which will open its doors in April 2015.
The Foundation has organized, in collaboration with the health ministry in 2014, two national awareness-raising campaigns, one on smoking cessation and the other on breast cancer screening.
The Foundation's activities included all areas related to the National Plan for Cancer Prevention and Control which has very promising results.
The board also lauded the personal commitment by HRH Princess Lalla Salma and her good management of the said Foundation.
