The opening ceremony was marked by the address of HH Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned, chairperson of the board of directors of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, who welcomed the representatives of more than twenty countries, expressing the hope that this global summit could enable them to learn about the latest innovations in health to contribute to improving health systems, consolidating friendship with their peers in various health systems and establishing a database they can use to improve and develop health protection.

   The 2nd WISH summit provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of taking up the various challenges in health, HH Sheikha Mozah said, noting that the highest priority should be given to innovation in the field of education and health.

   HRH Princess Lalla Salma, President of the Lalla Salma Foundation for the prevention and treatment of cancers, arrived in Doha on Monday evening to take part in the 2nd World Innovative Summit for Health (WISH, Feb.17-18) at the invitation of HH Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned. 

   Following her participation in the Summit, HRH Princess Lalla Salma will have a semi-official stay in Qatar at the invitation of HH Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned.
