During this ceremony, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa presented the awards to the winners of this first edition. These trophies, an overhaul of "Lalla Hasnaa Clean Beaches Awards", are given as recognition of actions taken, not only to the specific area of the beach, but more broadly to the preservation of the entire Moroccan coast.
These trophies are open to all those who help to protect the national coastal area: associations, institutions, local authorities, economic operators, journalists, scholars, students, researchers, experts etc.
There are five categories, namely "Clean Beaches", "Sharing and Living", "Protection and Enhancement of Natural Heritage", "Education and Youth" and "Social and Environmental Responsibility".
In the first category, the winners are "Afriquia Group and the Rural Commune of Mirleft", "Amendis Tangier, Association les petits débrouillards and the Urban Commune of Tangier", "Barid al Maghrib and the Urban Commune of Bouznika", "Credit Agricole, the Urban Commune of Larache and Association AIPICA de sport pour tous", "Fondation Banque centrale populaire de l'éducation, la culture and the urban commune of Sidi Rahal Chatii", "Holmarcom Group and the urban commune of Saidia", "OCP Group and the Urban Commune of Laamachat", "National Railway Office (ONCF), the urban commune of Asilah, the rural commune of Ksar Al Majaz and the Association Association les petits débrouillards", "SAMIR, the urban commune of Mohammedia and Association Bahri Dima clean".
In the Sharing and Living category, the trophies were granted to "the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water and the urban commune of Dakhla", "Surfrider Foundation Morocco and the rural commune of Imssouane", "BMCE Bank and the urban commune of Harhoura. "
The winners in the Protection and Enhancement of the Natural Heritage category are: "Association les petits débrouillards, ONCF and the urban commune of Asilah," "Saidia development company, the urban commune of Saidia and Association des anciens élèves de Madagh pour la culture et le développement and Maroc Telecom".
For the Education and Youth category, the trophies were awarded to "Association des Enseignants des Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre (AESVT) and DROSOS foundation", "Association Cham's pour l'éducation, la citoyenneté et l'environnement AHFIR, Association impacts positifs environnementaux et sociaux and Marsa Maroc", the national Office of Electricity and Drinking Water and the Association Biati Hayati".
In the Social and Environmental Responsibility category, the trophy was granted to "Lydec and urban communes of Casablanca, Mohammedia and Ain Harrouda", "Ciments Maroc and the urban commune of Safi and the National Ports Agency (ANP), the urban commune of Essaouira and Association Achouala pour l'éducation et la culture, Essaouira Section".
