Upon His arrival at the parliament headquarters, HM the King was greeted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Karim Ghellab, Speaker of the House of Advisors Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah, and the secretaries-general of the two houses of Parliament.

        The sovereign gave a speech before the members of both houses of Parliament after the reading of some verses of Quran.

        HM the King, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, received Karim Ghellab who gave the sovereign a report on the House of Representatives for the period 2012-2013, in addition to several documents published by the body.

              HM the King also received Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah who gave Him a report on the House of Advisors for 2012-2013, in addition to several documents published by the body.

         HM the King received afterwards the Minister in charge of relations with parliament and civil society Lahbib Choubani who gave the Sovereign a report on the results of the government action at the parliament for the second legislative year of the ninth legislature.

         The sovereign also chaired a reception held in honor of members of parliament on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the third legislative year of the ninth legislature.
