Upon his arrival at the institute, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by president of the Royal Federation for equestrian sports (FRMSE) Cherif Moulay Abdallah Alaoui.
The Crown Prince cut the ribbon to inaugurate the opening to the general public of the new institute and toured the facility which is located in the Dar Essalam forest in Rabat and constructed over a surface area of 72, 936 square meters, in addition to a playground of 3200 m².
His Royal Highness attended, afterwards, a 15 min-horse riding show at the institute's ring which can sit up to 1,500 people.
The body, worth 187.7 million dirhams, has a capacity of 650 pedagogical seats and an additional 1000 for training.
The facility is meant to train young people and professionals related to the equestrian sector, and host national and international sports events.
The ring is equipped with sophisticated lighting to help organizing events at night and a high-tech sound system with large screens to broadcast the events.
The facility includes also a 4000 m²-outdoor arena to host show jumping events.
