On this occasion, HM the King decorated several national and foreign personalities with Royal wissams.
Artist Mekki Amghara was awarded, posthumously, Al Moukafaa Al Wataniya Wissam of the Commander order, which was presented to his widow Mrs. Chamsnour Ismail and his son Kamal Amghara.
Similarly, the late artists Miloud Labyed and Fatima Rwayed, known as Fatima Hassan Farrouj were also granted posthumously the same Wissam. The royal wissams were given to Mustapha Laasli, nephew of the late Labyed, and to Hassan Ferrouj, husband of the late Fatima Rwayed.
HM the King also granted Al Moukafaa Al Wataniya Wissam of the Commander order to artists Abdelkébir Rabie and Fouad Bellamine, master craftsmen, El-Housseine Lamane, Hasid M'daghri Alaoui, Yahya Rawach and Zubair Benthami, authors and composers and singers, Abdelouahab Doukkali, Mahmoud Idrissi, Fathallah Mghari, directors, Noureddine Lakhmari, Farida Belyazid, Mohamed Miftah, Abdelhaq Zerouali, comedians, Said Naciri and Hassan El Fad and posthumously late Mohamed Habarman (Benbrahim). The award was presented to his son Ibrahim Habarman.
The same wissam was granted to artists Mohamed Mghari (Momo), founder of Boulevard festival Abdelghafour Mohcine (Vigon) Hamid Zahir, Haja Hamdaouiya, Mohamed Bajeddoub, and Najat Aatabou.
The Sovereign also bestowed the Alaoui Wissam of the Commander order upon the wife of René Derrive, Ms. Jacqueline Boix, an employee at the Royal Palace, and Al Wissam of Al Moukafaa Al Wataniya of the officer order to Mr. Nasser Abdeljalil, the first Moroccan to climb the Everest mountain, Amine Chentouf, winner of three gold medals and a double performance at the 2013 Lyon Paralympic athletics championships, horseman Abdelkebir Ouaddar, winner of the Grand Prix of the town of Vichy (France)in show jumping, and Hassan Benabicha, coach of the national football team under 19, gold medal winner during the last Mediterranean Games.
The same wissam was also bestowed upon racing driver Mehdi Bennani, athlete Najat El Garaa, artists Saadia Bettah (Souad Saber), and Samia Aqario, rapper Tawfiq Hazib (Big) and posthumously the late Mohamed Majd. The Royal award was presented to his son Wahid Majd.
HM the King also granted the same Wissam to rap group members H'kayne (Hatim benssalha, Azzedine Bouhoud, Othman Benhami Adel and Benchekroun), and F'naire (the late Hicham Belqass Amine Hannaoui, Mohcine Tizaf, Ashraf Aarab and Khalifa Mennani). The Royal decoration which was awarded posthumously to the late Belqass, was given to his father Abdeslam Belqass.
Issam Kamal, Foulan Mohcine, Nabil Andaloussi Wartassi, Mohammed Hamam, Adil Laaqissi, members of the Rai-fusion group Mazagan were also decorated with the same Wissam.
HM the King also granted the Alaoui Wissam of the Officer order to Ms. Serra Dominique, founder of the automobile Trophy gazelles, and Wissam of Al Moukafaa Al Wataniya of the order of the knight comedians Kamal Kademi and Dounia Boutazout, artists Saida Sharaf and Dounia Batma, and rapper Osama Dalouli (Komy).
On this occasion, His Majesty the King was greeted by several personalities from the world of science and culture, some of whom presented the Sovereign with some of their works.
Mr. Abdelhaq Lamrini, historian of the Kingdom and spokesman of the Royal Palace presented to His Majesty the King a book titled the epic of Mohammed V. This book outlines the career of the late King Mohammed V from his enthronement until his death and sheds light on the steps of his struggle for the liberation of the nation.
Mustapha EL Ktiri, former High Commissioner for war veterans and former members of the Liberation Army presented to the Sovereign the books by researchers Hassan El Figuigui and Abdellah Stitou, entitled Resistance against the Iberian presence in the occupied northern posts 1415-1574 and the role of Tafilalet in the organization of relations between tribal society, the Makhzen and the colonizer.
Hamdani Chbihenna Maa El Ainaine, professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University Mohammed V in Rabat and member of the Constitutional Council presented to HM the King two books in Arabic entitled Al Manara and Marouiyat Al Bukhari Aan Malik and a collection of poems about the prophet.
The Sovereign was also greeted by Abdelkrim Belguendouz, researcher and expert on migration and Abdelghani Abu Al Azm, a former teacher at the Faculty of Arts of Ain Chock in Casablanca who presented to the Sovereign a book called migration governance in Morocco and CCME (2008-2013) and the Al Ghani Zaher dictionary in 4 volumes.
Mr. M'hamed Zrioueli, specialist and researcher in social economy and member of the Advisory Committee on Regionalization, Mohamed Al Azhar, Professor at the Law Faculty of Mohammedia, Ahmed Msaaya, former director of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and Abdelkébir Alaoui Ismaili, journalist and director of the publishing house Azzamane, presented to His Majesty the books entitled Regional Authorities, national states and the Arab Maghreb Union, the judiciary in the constitution: legal study, Guide of the Moroccan theater: half a century of development, and the Foreign policy of Morocco during the second half of the eighteenth century by Spanish historian Lourido Ramon Diaz.
His Majesty the King was also greeted by Mr. Abdelouhab Benkeroum Essadki, former curator of the library of the Faculty of Education in Rabat, who presented to the Sovereign two books on the scholar Mohamed El Fassi.
Artist Zineb Idrissi Khemlichi presented to His Majesty the King a collection of her works, while Miss Youssra Achouane, a high school student from Casablanca, presented to the Sovereign a collection of poems entitled Zahrat Al Oukhouane.
The reception was attended by the Prime Minister, the Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, Advisors to HM the King, members of the government, high commissioners, presidents of constitutional institutions, directors of royal offices, senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, as well as personalities from civil society and the world of culture.
