This highly significant action in this blessed month, organized with the support of the Ministries of the Interior and Endowments and Islamic Affairs, reflects the constant royal care for disadvantaged social groups, and reinforces the spirit of solidarity that marks the Moroccan society.
"Ramadan 1434" Operation, which cost some 60.5 million dirhams, is meant to provide assistance to the needy, including widows, the elderly and the disabled. It will benefit about 2.37 million people in 473,900 households, 403,000 of whom live in rural areas across the Kingdom.
Some 5,000 people are involved, supported by a network of social workers and volunteers, including students. Partner banks have also provided significant support to the Foundation's action.
In the same neighborhood, HM the King launched another project which aims to reinforce its social infrastructure in the health sector.
The Sovereign, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, laid the foundation stone for the Diabetic Youth House which will be carried out for a budget of 5 million dirhams.
This facility will help host children with diabetes in the region and provide them with medical care, training and early detection of degenerative complications of diabetes as well as coaching and training regional stakeholders in the field of diabetes.
The center aspires to assist youth with diabetes in living a normal life through an integrated approach combining medical care, psychological support and material assistance.
