The Sovereign inaugurated an old people's home "Riad Al Moussinine" and a socio-sports and training complex "Al Bassatine", built with an investment of nearly 26 million dirhams.
The projects aim to develop sporting activities, strengthen community facilities, promote conditions for women and girls, and provide care for certain vulnerable social groups.
The old people's home, which mobilized a budget of 16 million dirhams, is intended to provide care in terms of accommodation, food, medical monitoring and general well-being of the elderly without resources or family support.
Spanning on a total area of 10,000 square metres, Riad Al Moussinine includes 80 double rooms (40 for men and 40 for women), a multipurpose room, spaces for people with special needs, a medical service, a bath, a pharmacy, a refectory, and green spaces.
As to the 9.5 million dirham socio-sports and training complex "Al Bassatine", it aims to develop sports and artistic skills of children and young people, fight crime and school dropout and ensure socio-cultural and sporting integration of the target populations through a wide access to equipment and basic services.
The project includes a library, computer and music rooms, school support rooms, a space for children (kindergarten and nursery), and another for education and training.
The prefecture of Oujda-Angad has seen in 2012 the implementation of 55 INDH projects, for a total investment of 89.24 million dirhams, benefiting more than 84,200 people.
