These projects, which cost a sum of nearly 24 million dirhams, reflect the constant commitment of HM the King to give a strong impetus to the development process in the city of Oujda and the eastern region, as well as the Sovereign's enlightened vision which uses sport as a fundamental tool for the development of the personal skills and abilities of young people.
Launched as part of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), over an area of 3600 square meters, the "August 16" indoor sports hall includes a lobby, a children's multidisciplinary game room, a grandstand, and bleachers with a capacity of 500 seats.
The "Al Irfane" social and sports center includes four artificial turf mini-football fields, a sports field, and playgrounds.
Located close to the Rugby Stadium in the city, the Rugby training ground (5000 sq meters) aims to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the city and to promote this discipline among the youth.
A number of social projects are underway in the city of Oujda as part of a partnership between the INDH, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the urban commune of Oujda. This includes the indoor sports hall in "Ennajd" district (13.5 million dirhams), and 24 fields in different parts of the city.
