At the Léon M’Ba airport in Libreville, HM the King was greeted by Gabonese president Ali Bongo Ondimba.
The sovereign and the Gabonese head of state headed for the VIP stand to salute the flags of both countries while national anthems were playing, afterwards they followed a military parade.
HM the King was greeted by the army general, the chief of army staff, the brigadier general, the chief of national gendarmerie, the prime minister and members of Gabonese government.
HM the King was also greeted by Morocco's ambassador in Libreville, members of the Moroccan diplomatic mission and representatives of the Moroccan community in Gabon.
President Ali Bongo was greeted by members of the official delegation accompanying HM the King mainly HH Prince Moulay Ismail and Cherif Moulay Youssef.
The Moroccan official delegation is made up of the sovereign's advisors, Zoulikha Nasri and Fouad Ali El-Himma, Minister of Islamic affairs Ahmed Toufiq, Agriculture minister Aziz Akhannouch, minister of health Houcine El Ouardi, minister delegate to the interior ministry Charki Drais and Morocco's ambassador to Gabon.
Afterwards, the official procession went to the presidential palace in Libreville.
Gabon is the third and last leg of an African tour that already took the sovereign to Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire.
