Upon his departure at the Fez-Saiss airport, HM the King was seen off by head of government Abdelilah Benkirane and Interior Minister Mohand Laenser.

 The sovereign was also seen off by General Abdelaziz Bennani, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the southern zone, Lieutenant General Hosni Benslimane, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, Director General of the national police (DGSN) Bouchaib Rmil and chargés d'affaires of the embassies of Senegal, Ivory Coast and Gabon in Rabat, as well as by other civilian and military figures.

 During this visit, HM the King is accompanied by an official delegation made up of the sovereign's advisors, Zoulikha Nasri and Fouad Ali El-Himma, foreign minister Saad Dine El Otmani, Minister of Islamic affairs Ahmed Toufiq, minister of equipment and transport Aziz Rebbah, minister of energy Fouad Douiri and minister of health Houcine El Ouardi.
