HM the King expressed heartfelt congratulations on the appointment and his sincere wishes for success in his high post "under the wise leadership of our dear brother, custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdelaziz".

    The sovereign said that "the fact that you have been selected to take up this high duty is a recognition of you high human qualities, your experience as an upright, qualified statesman, and your self-denial in serving the best interests of your brotherly country and our Arab and Islamic Ummah."

    The message insisted that the prince's lofty qualities will help him in pursuing the praiseworthy action and outstanding accomplishments achieved by his predecessor, prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz.
