“The  commemoration of this great historic event, pregnant with deep meanings for the brotherly   people of the Maghreb incites us to intensify efforts to perfect the Maghreban Union construction, in keeping with the essence of the Marrakesh treaty that laid the first foundations thereof, as part of the firm will to achieve our shared aspirations thanks to a realistic and future-oriented vision », the sovereign says in the message.
     Recalling the repeated calls for a new Maghreban order that breaks with the state of lethargy, overcomes all objective and subjective obstacles and opens the way for an action conducted with earnestness in an atmosphere of dialogue, trust, neighbourliness, solidarity and joint development, the Sovereign expresses faith that all Maghreban heads of state share His opinion that Maghreban integration is a dream cherished by all the peoples of the region who are tied by relations of brotherhood, and shared history, civilization and destiny.
    The Royal message further stresses that Maghreban strategy has become a strategic and security must and an economic requirement exacted by the reality of strong groupings and by the size of challenges facing the region, particularly at the African level.
The Sovereign also expressed the attachment of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Maghreban option as an unavoidable strategic stake, expressing resolve to endeavor with other Maghreban heads of state to move forward to establish a new robust and vibrant Maghreban order that is active in its African, Arab and Euro-Mediterranean environment.
    This new Maghreban order should also open for its five member states a space conducive to complementarity of interests and fruitful joint action, in the total respect of their sovereignty, territorial unity and national constant values, the message insists.
The sovereign prays the Almighty to inspire wisdom and perspicacity to the Maghreban leaders in order to achieve their peoples’ aspirations to further progress, prosperity, peace and stability.
