The International Bazaar, considered the main event of the Rabat Diplomatic Circle, which brings together several spouses of accredited ambassadors to Morocco, aims to fund projects carried out by Moroccan associations in the fields of education, health and the promotion of the conditions of rural women, said President of the Diplomatic Club and spouse of the Palestinian ambassador in Rabat, Basma Sobh.
She said that some 40 countries have participated in this year’s event through their embassies with a wide variety of handicrafts items and food products specific to each country.
Last year, the Diplomatic Circle contributed to the funding of several NGOs, particularly through the equipment of libraries and laboratories, and providing medical supply and equipment for different regions of the country.
On this occasion, explanations were provided to HRH Princess Lalla Meryem about the various actions of the Diplomatic Circle.
Afterwards, HRH Princess Lalla Meryem visited the various stands of the bazaar, where products, from the participating countries, are exhibited.
At the end of the ceremony, Her Royal Highness posed for a souvenir photo with the members of the Executive Board and the organizing committee of the Diplomatic Circle.
The Diplomatic Circle is a charity group which gathers the spouses of accredited ambassadors to Morocco. This year’s International Charity Bazaar offers local agricultural products from different regions in the Kingdom.
